TabLock Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 23, 2026

At TOL LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), your privacy is a priority. This Privacy Policy applies to the TabLock browser extension and explains how we handle your data when you use our software.

1. Core Privacy Principle: Local First

TabLock is designed with a privacy-first architecture. The core functionality of managing, organizing, and locking your browser tabs happens entirely locally on your device. We do not have servers that monitor your active tabs, nor do we track your browsing activity.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To ensure your privacy, TabLock explicitly does not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Your browsing history.
  • The contents, text, or data of the web pages you visit.
  • Your passwords, form inputs, or search queries.
  • Your IP address or device identifiers (except where strictly necessary by third-party payment processors during checkout).

3. Information We Collect and How We Use It

We only collect the absolute minimum amount of information necessary to provide you with our premium features and customer support:

  • Payment and Email Information: If you purchase TabLock Plus (our premium features), your payment is processed by secure, third-party payment provider ( Stripe). We do not collect or store your credit card numbers. We do collect the email address you provide at checkout. We use this email address strictly to send payment receipts, activation instructions, and to verify your identity if you need to recover access to your premium features.
  • Customer Support Communications: If you email us at info@tolllc.com for support, feature requests, or access recovery, we retain the contents of your email and your email address to assist you and improve our software.

4. Data Storage and Syncing

Your TabLock settings and preferences are stored locally within your browser. If you have enabled synchronization features provided by your browser (such as Google Chrome Sync or Firefox Sync), your TabLock settings may be synced across your devices according to the privacy policies of your browser provider. We do not have access to this synced data.

5. Premium Feature Access and Recovery

Because we do not track you across devices or silently link your browser profile to our servers, you retain complete anonymity while using the extension. However, this privacy-first architecture means that if you reinstall the extension, use a new browser profile, switch browsers, or move to a new device, TabLock will not automatically “know” you are a premium user.

If you lose access to TabLock Plus for these reasons, you must contact us at info@tolllc.com using the exact email address you entered on the payment page so we can manually verify your purchase and restore your access.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services exclusively for processing payments. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your payment data during the checkout process. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of our payment processor (Stripe) before making a purchase.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited personal information (your email address for premium users and support interactions) we hold from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no internet-based service can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. We will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page whenever modifications are made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
